iEquity(click to view) is a website tailored for women in male-dominated industries, such as the tech industry and other specialized fields, to supplement their decision-making in terms of choosing a company that is ethnically diverse, has equal gender representation, and has a productive and accepting company culture. This will be done through the creation of a website which will aggregate statistics pertaining to race and gender from published transparency reports and third-party audits from companies in the field, and allow women to easily compare and contrast two or more companies when it comes to such metrics.

Through this, iEQUITY will attempt to address the inequity in gender, race, and pay by providing as much of a transparent view into these metrics and their implications as possible. By compiling all these different transparency reports (of which there may be some bias in their visualizations) and standardizing the metrics and the consequent visualizations, women will be able to directly compare two companies they are interested in a very direct manner, giving more power to the woman in terms of where she chooses to bring her valued skills. It would also provide an insight into the culture of the company and how they treat female professionals; for example, if one company showed a pattern of sexual harassment lawsuits (of which women are disproportionately victims of), or did not provide adequate maternity leave, it would be clear to the (female) user that this is not a company that would probably treat her with equity and fairness. By aggregating all this data and presenting it in a way that is clear, standardized, and meaningful, we can help women make informed decisions on the places they may choose to work at, and, in the process, save women the valuable time they might spend searching for such data.
iEQUITY gets their data from openly published transparency reports from the company themselves and from third-party auditors. This ensures objectiveness and accuracy. News sources are accredited and cross-examined.
